The Neurodiverse & Inclusive Learning Environments Profile (NAILEP) with Strengths Report
The Neurodiversity & Inclusion Learning Environments Profile (NAILEP) is a 15-minute strengths-based assessment tool for teachers and leaders that is designed to help educators create inclusive learning strategies for all students, including students who are neurodiverse. After taking the NAILEP, your individualized report provides insights into four key aspects of neurodiverse practices in your learning environment:
1. Communication & Interaction: Focuses on addressing barriers to effective communication and interaction, particularly for students with autism, speech-language difficulties, or other communication differences.
2. Learning & Cognition: Highlights the diversity in learning styles and processing information, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism, and processing difficulties. It emphasizes the importance of clear and systematic learning routines to accommodate diverse learning needs.
3. Social-Emotional Strengthening: Encourages the development of resilience, character, independence, and social skills. It promotes character education, resiliency, healthy boundaries, self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social awareness.
4. Executive Functioning: Focuses on cognitive flexibility, working memory, and inhibition control. It addresses the ability to adapt to change, creatively reorganize information, control responses, and manage impulsivity.
